No problems, works perfectly, all plastic
Unlike some users, I had absolutely no problems with this brew cup. It works perfectly for me. Instead of the supplied reusable filter, I used full sized round paper filters, which cost less than $.01 each. I had no clean up to do at all. However, there are some negatives which don’t really impact the usability of the brewer but may present issues for some users.

1. The tallest mug you can put into the brewer is 5.25″. Many travel mugs are taller. Measure your mug before you buy. Like me, you may not like the included travel mug. Of course you can brew into a smaller mug and then pour in to you favorite travel mug, but you coffee will cool and you have something to wash.

2. The included travel mug is plastic lined. Putting 190 degree water in plastic is probably not a good idea. I use a double wall all stainless steel mug (Migo) which does a fairly good job of insulating the liquid for about an hour.

3. The coffee maker brew is all plastic and is about the cheapest roughest chunk of plastic I have ever seen. However, it works reliably. Again, I’m not pleased about really hot water working its way through cheap plastic, but at least the water only has momentary contact. If you want better build, get a Keurig for $80.

This nifty little coffeemaker is difficult to find in stores, so I was glad to see it at Amazon. It saved my marriage because my spouse doesn’t drink coffee (hates the stuff) and there’s no pot to clean. Even though it comes with a huge mug, the coffee tastes best when you use it with a normal china mug or cup, and with beans that are ground fine. I’m on my second one — it lasts about four to five years in daily use. Not bad for the money. I won’t drink coffee that’s been sitting for more than five minutes, so the black decker brew n go is perfect. If you’re the only Joe drinker in the house, it’s an absolute must!
